Checkatrade Let Us Down

We were completely reliant on Checkatrade to source us a trustworthy contractor for our home improvement. We registered and listed our project details, but unfortunately, we were left abandoned at sea.

  • To make matters even worse, their customer service was absolutely hopeless.

We are incredibly disappointed with Checkatrade and would recommend against using their services. There are plenty of alternatives out there. We are saddened by having wasted our resources on this useless service.

We trusted Checkatrade to connect us with competent tradespeople. Little did we know we were walking into a nightmare.

After/Upon/Following hiring a plumber/electrician/carpenter from their platform, we ended up with a shoddy/subpar/messy job that cost us a fortune/ dearly/ an arm click here and a leg. Checkatrade's response/customer service/support has been dismissive/useless/unhelpful, leaving us feeling frustrated/angry/betrayed.

It's clear to us that Checkatrade puts the emphasis on their own profits over the well-being/satisfaction/rights of customers. We demand/request/urge fair compensation/justice/accountability for this injustice/wrongdoing/terrible experience.

It all starts with their sneaky charges, which they hide in the fine print. Then, there's the terrible customer service that's about as helpful as a chocolate teapot. You can try to get your money back, but it's like chasing ghosts.

So, avoid them like the plague of Checkatrade if you value your money.

Was Checkatrade a Total Fraud?

We thought we were doing the right thing by using Checkatrade to find a reputable plumber/electrician/contractor. After all, they seemed so reliable with their vetted traders. Boy, were we wrong! Our experience was nothing short of a disaster.

First, the communication from the "qualified" trader was lackluster/awful/terrible. He was unprofessional/rude/disrespectful and provided a quote that was outrageous/ridiculous/way too high. We tried to talk about the issues, but he was adamant/unwilling/stubborn to compromise/negotiate/change.

In the end, we ended up getting ripped off by this so-called "vetted" trader. Checkatrade's customer service was equally useless/incompetent/unhelpful. They offered us a pathetic excuse/blamed the trader/did nothing.

We're left feeling disappointed and would definitely not recommend Checkatrade for your tradesman needs.

They Paid, But Never Saw the Project: Checkatrade Disaster.

My story with Checkatrade was a complete shambles. I booked a trader through their website to handle some vital home repairs. They looked legitimate at first, but it turned out a terrible ordeal.

Despite I paid the full amount upfront, the work completely vanished into thin air. Getting a response ceased. It's been weeks, and I'm still left with unfinished repairs.

Their customer service has been useless throughout this whole process. They offered no solutions. It feels like I've been scammed.
